I got an email today from Barnes & Noble asking me to
review a book I recently bought. I thought OK and
clicked on the REVIEW button provided. That sent me to
a screen asking for my email address. Duh…
Barnes & Noble is compiling a separate email list of
people who reply to emails. Barnes & Noble sells extra
email address copies in a secret special department.
I am too dumb to see the perfect logic in emailing me to
get my email address.
Whatever the reason it’s interesting to study and try to
learn from the brilliant strategies used by huge
successful companies. It also perks me up to realize that
maybe I am not the last remaining source of fumbles and
